Pay Range*: $139,859.20 - $192,322 annually

Position Summary

The Memorial Medical Center Foundation (MMCF) raises and stewards philanthropic support for Long Beach Medical Center (LBMC) and Miller Children's and Women's Hospital (MCWH). Reporting to the Executive Director of Administration and Operations, the Director of Data and Technology is responsible for CRM administration, IT operations infrastructure, data integration and reporting to further MMCF efforts and success. The Director solves business problems by building, configuring, and automating technology solutions to deliver business value and ensuring reports drive business intelligence and data-driven decision-making.

The Director of Data and Technology will support and coordinate shared technology and software platforms that support core business functions of MMCF.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job:
• Supports the mission, vision, and values of LBMC, MCWH, and MMCF, and actively works to enhance the reputation of LBMC and MMCF.
• Provides strategic oversite for MMCF web applications development, CRM administration, IT operations infrastructure, and data integration. Responsible for functional and technical designs of solutions, including UI, data architecture and processes.
• Oversees the design, integrity and optimization of the MMCF's CRM system, translating organizational needs into durable data systems and actionable insights. Configures, maintains, and supports MMCF's CRM, Financial Edge and Blackbaud suite of related products utilized by MMCF. Drives proactive services to continually improve and enhance MMCF's CRM. Works with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify and gather requirements and feedback, translating into best practice, scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience. Creates a platform roadmap and define priorities, updating it annually.
• Manages all aspects of Blackbaud user management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, sharing rules, workflows, and public groups. Manages automation solutions for all Blackbaud products, including determining how to ensure data flows from CRM to Financial Edge. Provides proactive Blackbaud product maintenance, including security reviews, health check and optimizer. Identifies vulnerabilities, the need for upgrades, and opportunities for improvement. Evaluates and shares new CRM releases, as well as providing training and support to MMCF staff.
• Oversees data integrity for Blackbaud products including CRM and Financial Edge. Creates strategic plan for proactive data integrity services. Identifies opportunities for data quality improvements. As needed, develop and implement rules and automation. Performing database maintenance tasks, including diagnostic tests and duplicate entry cleansing.
• Oversees the timely and accurate development and analysis of reports for MMCF. Researches, develops, and documents new standard reports and data visualizations. Ensures existing report and dashboard purpose, criteria, data fields, parameters/filters are documented.
• Develops strategy for on-demand reporting and business intelligence reporting. Implements strategy and oversees on-demand and BI report finalized strategy.
• Determines user support request system for data integrity and report requests. Manages and tracks requests ensuring that all critical deadlines are met.
• Liaises with LBMC IT department and build strong relationships. Identify and support MMCF Epic data needs and work with IT on solutions.
• Serves as lead MMCF information technologist responsible for planning, policy, and procedure development, technical documentation, evaluation of new technology, setting technology direction, resource management, and the general project management of MMCF IT activities.
• Ensures optimal performance of systems, products, and applications. Monitors and improves user adoption. Identifies unused or underutilized platform features and determines solutions for usage improvement.
• Identifies technology needs and make recommendations on new technology platforms and applications to business decision-makers as warranted. Develops, implements, and evaluates IT projects in line with MMCF objectives.
• Serves as the chief technology training, and provides new user and ongoing user training for CRM and other data applications as warranted.
• Tracks and reports out on various application, system, data integrity and report metrics.
• Builds and maintains relationships with external advisors and vendors as warranted.
• Interacts with national or international technology groups and fundraising professionals to resolve problems with industry scope, determine standards and best practices, and exchange state of industry information.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years' NXT or other fundraising Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' developing and managing reports and business intelligence preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' managing data integrity preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' leadership experience preferred.
• Sandbox environment management experience required.
• Working knowledge of Power Automate and PowerBI preferred.
• Fundraising or nonprofit experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills preferred.
• Proven track record with liaising with stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to translate technical information into layman's terms, clearly explaining design options and their potential impact preferred.
• Experience with change management and data governance, as well as communicating, prioritizing, and managing all aspects of a CRM or IT project preferred.

Education/Licensure/Certification:
• Bachelor's degree required.
