This leader bridges Advisory relationships into data transformation, master data management, and partner-originated sales, operating across the full account lifecycle from business development through solution deployment.

As a market-facing leader, the Senior Director owns a portfolio of clients and projects, leads larger data and analytics implementations, and drives business development as an industry, data, and technology subject matter expert. The role owns origination, pipeline, and qualified revenue for the Data & Analytics domain, sets the FS data strategy offering, and serves as the senior data architecture authority on cross-capability engagements. The position carries full client, team, and practice management responsibility, with significant onsite client contact and weekly travel.

This role is within the Digital practice with a specialization in the Financial Services Industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and own Huron's FS data strategy offering: data platform modernization, data governance, master data management (MDM), and AI/ML infrastructure across banking, insurance, and wealth clients.
  • Architect and deliver data platforms supporting AML, KYC, fraud, and regulatory reporting across leading financial-crime, risk, and regulatory data technologies.
  • Develop differentiated FS data points of view: regulatory data lineage, BCBS 239 compliance, data mesh for financial institutions, and real-time analytics for risk and treasury.
  • Serve as the senior data architecture lead on cross-capability engagements where data quality is critical.
  • Build and expand platform-partner relationships across hyperscalers, cloud data platforms, and specialized FS data and analytics vendors to drive joint go-to-market and co-sell pipeline.
  • Originate demand across multiple channels - Advisory, alliance partners, and direct client relationships - and convert it into data transformation and MDM engagements.
  • Own origination, pipeline, and opportunity qualification for the Data & Analytics domain; manage pursuit cadence, proposals, and pricing.
  • Embed data and AI-readiness as a cross-domain accelerator across the Oracle, Workday, GenAI/Automation, and Customer Experience capability teams.
  • Provide market-facing thought leadership - points of view, benchmarks, and industry events - that position Huron as an authority in FS data and analytics.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, data/analytics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years in data & analytics, digital, or consulting, including building and leading data, analytics, and AI capabilities AND/OR 10+ years in the Financial Services industry including banking, capital markets, insurance, asset and wealth management, payments, and fintech.
  • Demonstrated P&L ownership and/or revenue origination and growth as a client-facing partner, principal, or practice lead.
  • Core fluency in modern data platforms, data governance and MDM, regulatory data (BCBS 239, data lineage), and AI/ML including generative and agentic AI.
  • C-suite advisory and executive relationship management experience (CDO, CAO, CFO, CIO/CTO).
  • Full sales-cycle ownership - origination, proposal development, and leading final presentations.
  • Proven thought leadership as indicated by speaking engagements and/or publications.
  • Willingness to travel weekly.
  • Preferred: experience with FS-specific data and decisioning platforms (e.g., Quantexa, SymphonyAI, OFSAA data layers, Salesforce FSC).
  • Preferred: hyperscaler and vendor alliance experience (e.g., AWS, Microsoft) and co-sell motions.
