Full Job Description
Digital Sales Specialist

You will be responsible for increasing the profitability of the business unit in line with company objectives, achieved through regional sales growth of associated product categories.

What You'll Be Doing:

Be part of a team that values diversity, sustainability, and continuous innovation, where your ideas and contributions matter.
• Grow sales and margin of the business unit's product portfolio in the defined territory via direct customer contact and training and support of salespeople in the region.
• Identify and develop new opportunities for both existing and new products in conjunction with sales teams in the region. Maintain the regional target list and manager activity accordingly.
• Defend and maximize profitability of existing regional product sales in conjunction with sales teams in the region. This includes the resolution of difficult commercial, technical or regulatory issues relating to specific local requirements, and as such will require coordination of activity from other departments.
• Develop and maintain up-to-date, relevant technical, regulatory and market knowledge.
• Provide technical and marketing expertise for the promotion of products, supported by the divisional technical specialists and technical teams as appropriate.
• Provide training of sales force and customers on relevant products and applications, markets and regulatory environments.
• Manage and support the regional launch and promotion of new products.
• Identify unmet market opportunities, provide market feedback and direction to marketing management and technical teams regarding new products, new data and new application opportunities.
• Participate in the preparation of global marketing initiatives and new product launches as appropriate.
• Identify and facilitate specific regional marketing initiatives in response to local market conditions, as agreed with the line manager.
• Develop and maintain the local 2-3-year sales/marketing strategy, including consideration of technical, promotional and travel plans for self and other supporting colleagues.
• Attend and participate in specific conferences/exhibitions.
• The role requires extremely flexible working between office and overseas locations. Extensive global travel with significant time away from home up to 4 months per year and 2-3 weeks at any one time.

• Minimum degree level or equivalent in a science related discipline
• Post graduate or vocational qualifications is desirable
• Ongoing development of market/ business/ science knowledge required
• Ability to work on their own without supervision, self motivated, independent and able to plan workload
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with people of different backgrounds and status
• Highly proficient technical selling inc. ability to communication technical concepts to customers where English is not their first language
• Strong industry, market, & product knowledge or ability to develop this in 3-6 months
• Strong commercial/ sales acumen
• Use of SAP, C2G, and general IT systems or ability to develop this in

Annual Base Salary Range: $97,000.00 to $110,000.00

This range reflects the base salary the company reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level. Additional compensation, such as annual bonuses or other incentives, * may be offered based on eligibility and company policies.

Additional Information

This is a hybrid position based at our Princeton, NJ site.
