Full Job Description
The Digital Product Manager (PM) owns the performance of the customer-facing ecommerce products and is accountable for the outcomes they deliver: conversion, engagement, site performance, and accessibility. Working with cross-functional teams, they turn customer insights and business strategies into a prioritized roadmap, driving initiatives from discovery through launch and iteration, with success measured by customer and business impact. KEY PERFORMANCE METRICS • Conversion rate and revenue for owned experience areas • Core Web Vitals and site performance targets • Accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1 AA) maintained across owned surfaces KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Discovery & Problem Definition • Analyze customer feedback, market trends, and data insights to identify and diagnose the right problems to solve • Anticipate customer needs and serve as the voice of the customer, advocating for frictionless experiences that drive conversion and engagement • Perform root-cause analysis on experience and performance issues to drive improvements • Stay current on ecommerce trends, the competitive landscape, and emerging technologies Prioritization • Prioritize product features and requirements by balancing user needs, technical feasibility, and business impact • Make trade-offs transparent, grounding decisions in data and expected outcomes Roadmap • Own the roadmap for customer-facing experiences (search/browse, product detail, navigation, content), aligned to business objectives and measurable outcomes • Seek out technology that creates high tech, high touch solutions for Indigo's customers Building • Lead the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, working closely with UX/UI, engineering, and business partners • Write user stories and acceptance criteria and manage backlogs in an Agile environment • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and merchandising to ensure seamless execution Launching & Iterating • Define and track KPIs for product initiatives and report on outcomes achieved • Measure post-launch performance, gather feedback, and iterate to improve results • Ensure completion of team deliverables and adherence to budgets, as applicable People • Lead through influence, aligning engineering, design, and business partners around shared outcomes without direct authority • Build trusted stakeholder relationships to unblock decisions and maintain momentum • Give authentic, constructive feedback to peers and partners, and invite it in return • Collaborate with others to drive flexible and iterative solutions, quickly and easily • Share technical knowledge, and actively learn from those more knowledgeable • Help others see the impact of their efforts and proactively engage other functions for input Cultural • Model Indigo's beliefs and convey a positive image in everything you do • Celebrate diversity of thought and have an open mindset • Take an active role in fostering a culture of continual learning, taking risks without the fear of making mistakes • Embrace, champion and influence change through your team and/or the organization SCOPE Reports to: Senior Manager, Group Product Manager once Removed (MOR): Chief Customer Officer KEY RELATIONSHIPS Internal: • Technology Team (Architecture, Development, QA) • Product Design • Senior Business Stakeholders (Online Merchandising, Online Operations, Product Marketing, Loyalty, Retail) • Senior IT Stakeholders • Digital Analytics External: • Potential outsourced IT vendors Qualifications Work Experience / Education / Certifications • 5+ years in product management, preferably in ecommerce, retail, or a digital-first company Competencies / Skills / Attributes • Hands-on experience with a modern commerce platform, such as Shopify, is a strong asset • Partnering closely with UX/design teams and working within a design system • Strong analytical skills; uses data to drive decisions (Google Analytics, SQL, A/B testing) • Proven ability to define requirements, manage backlogs, and execute in Agile environments • Excellent communication and stakeholder management; able to influence and align teams • Technical acumen to collaborate with engineering (coding experience a plus, not required) • Experience with product management tools like JIRA and Confluence • Passion for ecommerce and customer experience, with a user-first mindset
