Job Description

The Digital Philanthropy Senior Director provides strategic leadership to define how digital supports top-of-pyramid fundraising engagement. This role translates fundraising strategies for high-value benefactors into a clear experience model, including key moments, engagement pathways, and interaction expectations across the benefactor lifecycle.

Owns strategy for high-value benefactor engagement and leads cross-channel orchestration across web and content platforms, journey and lifecycle engagement capabilities, and personalized outreach channels. Establishes and applies digital experience principles (e.g., trust, clarity, relevance, accessibility, and privacy-minded personalization), along with scalable personalization approaches, journey frameworks, and shared standards that enable consistent execution across platforms and teams.

Ensures alignment across the digital ecosystem by partnering with fundraising, analytics, data/CRM, brand, content, and operations to define governance, prioritize initiatives, and reduce fragmentation. Leverages data, analytics, and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to inform decision-making and optimize engagement strategies. Applies systems thinking to integrate efforts across a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

The Senior Director leads through influence, building alignment and consensus across a matrixed organization. This role defines the experience model and guardrails that guide execution; it is not responsible for building net-new product features. Communicates with clarity and credibility to stakeholders and senior leaders while fostering collaboration, accountability, and a shared sense of purpose.

As an individual contributor, this position operates as a strategic integrator across Development and the broader digital ecosystem. Works closely with fundraising professionals, analytics, data/CRM, marketing, brand, content, and operations teams, as well as physician leaders, administrators, and external partners. Serves as a key connector across functions to align priorities, establish governance, and enable a cohesive, benefactor-centered digital experience for high-value audiences.
