Full Job Description
The role

We are looking for a digital marketing lead to own Codal's demand engine: the website, organic visibility, paid digital, landing pages and the webinar program. This is a hands-on senior role where you both set the strategy and execute it.

You will report into the Global Head of Marketing and work closely with design, engineering, content and sales. Codal.com is yours to take from "great site" to a real conversion machine that ranks, ranks in AI engines, and feeds pipeline every week.

This is a builder's role, not a maintainer's. We expect a roadmap, an opinion, and follow-through.
What you'll own

Website and site management
  • Codal.com is your product: own the roadmap, performance, information architecture and conversion paths
  • Partner with design and engineering on the redesign roadmap, A/B tests, page templates and ongoing site improvements
  • Manage the CMS (Sanity); brief, review and ship new pages from copy through launch
  • Own site performance: Core Web Vitals, page speed, accessibility, uptime, and the boring stuff that compounds

SEO and AEO
  • Own technical SEO end-to-end: crawl, indexation, schema, internal linking, site architecture
  • Build and run the AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) playbook so Codal shows up in AI-driven discovery: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Claude and what comes next
  • Run regular SEO audits, monitor SERP performance, and prioritize page-level updates
  • Partner with the Senior Content Manager on SEO and AEO-driven briefs so content gets distribution by design, not by accident

Landing pages and digital campaigns
  • Design and ship campaign landing pages with the design team for every major campaign and partner program
  • Set up conversion tracking, form logic, UTMs and routing into HubSpot and Salesforce
  • Run paid digital campaigns: LinkedIn, Google, programmatic, retargeting; own the strategy, agencies and reporting

Webinars and digital events
  • Own the webinar program end to end: topic strategy, partner coordination, promotion, registration and post-event follow-up
  • Run co-marketing webinars and digital events with technology partners
  • Track and report on webinar attribution into pipeline, not just attendance

Analytics and reporting
  • Own the digital marketing dashboard: traffic, conversion, MQLs, attribution, paid ROI
  • Run quarterly performance reviews; identify what to scale, what to cut, and where to invest next
  • Connect digital performance back to revenue impact, not vanity metrics
What we're looking for
  • 5+ years in B2B digital marketing
  • Consulting firm, agency or professional services background required. You have driven digital growth for a complex service business, not just a SaaS product
  • Strong technical SEO foundation: schema, Core Web Vitals, crawl, indexation, log file analysis
  • Working familiarity with AEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization); a clear point of view on how AI engines surface content and how Codal should adapt
  • Proven track record building and improving websites that actually convert, with measurable outcomes you can talk about
  • Hands-on with the modern digital stack: HubSpot, Salesforce, GA4, Search Console, Ahrefs or Semrush, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads
  • Comfortable working with engineers and designers: you can write a clear brief and understand basic technical tradeoffs
  • Strong analytical foundation; comfortable in a spreadsheet and in a dashboard
  • Bonus: experience with Sanity, headless CMS, Next.js or other modern composable web stacks
How this role will be measured
  • Qualified organic traffic growth to priority service-line pages
  • Site conversion rates and form-fill quality
  • Webinar attendance, attribution and pipeline contribution
  • Digital-attributed MQLs and sourced pipeline by quarter
  • Visibility in AI-driven discovery surfaces (AEO benchmark)
Why you'll want this role
  • Real budget for paid, tools and testing, with executive support for site investment
  • A site you can actually move: leadership wants the redesign and the content investment to happen
  • Direct work with major technology partners on co-marketing programs
  • Clear remit and the freedom to set digital strategy, not just execute someone else's plan
  • A team being built out around you: senior content, campaign, and India-based content support all coming online in 2026
Location and logistics
  • Based in Chicago, hybrid (3 days in office)
Compensation + Benefits:
  • $105-160k base, depending on experience
  • Discretionary annual bonus, health benefits, 401(k), and standard Codal perks
  • We offer Medical, Life, Dental/Vision, and many more insurance types
  • Employer 401k match - 4%
  • Working hybrid for in-person collaboration and sprint-planning days
  • We regularly host happy hours, dinners, excursions, and other company events to unwind after a hard day at work
  • An office in the heart of downtown Chicago with a gym, food court, rooftop bar, outdoor sports court, and other amenities

We continually review ranges to address skills, experience and markets. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a number of factors that include but aren't limited to, a candidate's experience and skills relative to the scope and responsibilities of the position

Pay range

$105,000-$155,000 USD

Note: Codal only communicates with candidates through official [redacted].com email addresses. We never request payment during the hiring process. Please be vigilant regarding recruitment scams.
