OverviewOur State Government Practice Group’s Finance and Administration Practice is seeking Digital Enterprise Systems Implementation Program Manager to support a potential opportunity with a California-based university client. This anticipated engagement would focus on providing client-side/owner-side project management, governance, and implementation oversight for the deployment of an integrated enterprise technology ecosystem supporting administrative, learning, registration, event management, and volunteer-related functions. BerryDunn would serve as an independent advisory and oversight partner, not as the system integrator or software implementation vendor.
You should have experience managing complex, large-scale software implementation projects in IT environments, including enterprise software-as-a-service implementations involving multiple vendors, one or more system integrators, defined governance forums, formal change control, requirements traceability, user acceptance testing, deployment readiness, and post-go-live stabilization. The candidate filling this position should be comfortable serving as an independent advisor and client representative, helping to keep the implementation aligned with approved requirements, business objectives, operational workflows, and applicable compliance standards.
You will apply your knowledge and experience to support this potential engagement through a controlled implementation that achieves on-time, in-scope delivery and prepares the client for full transition to internal ownership, system operations, support processes, and institutional knowledge. This will require providing objective oversight, facilitating decision-making, monitoring vendor performance, coordinating across client leadership, product owners, information technology personnel, subject matter experts, product vendors, and system integrator resources and maintaining transparent, actionable communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Travel expectations: Up to 50% travel to the client site is expected to support this potential engagement and future client projects. Future travel expectations will vary based on BerryDunn’s project portfolio and client needs.

- Define, oversee, and validate User Acceptance Testing entry and exit criteria, defect identification and prioritization, and formal acceptance signoffs.
- Lead cutover and deployment planning, including readiness criteria, governance-based deployment approvals, and controlled go-live coordination.
- Oversee post-go-live stabilization, including defect resolution timelines, system performance, user adoption, support transition, and stabilization success criteria.
- Validate knowledge transfer and operational readiness to confirm client IT and business teams are prepared to assume internal ownership of system operations, support processes, and documentation.
