Summary

The Diagnostic Radiology Clinical Lead is responsible for the maintenance and quality of patient care throughout the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Establish daily work assignments for technologists.
  2. Perform visual preventative safety inspections and report dangerous department equipment conditions to appropriate personnel.
  3. Perform annual equipment inspections and make corrections as dictated by HFAP.
  4. Utilize all assigned functions of the Radiology Information Computer System (RICS).
  5. Provide portable X-ray service to all areas of the hospital.
  6. Reviews images to ensure good quality and, if necessary, works with technologists to improve image quality.
  7. Confirm patient identification prior to procedure by verbal confirmation on outpatients and identification band on in-patients.
  8. Coordinate apron/glove inspections as required by HFAP.
  9. Assist Radiology Supervisor in monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as needed, staying within the established expense budget.

  10. Perform other duties as assigned.


Supervisory Responsibilities

Reports To: Radiology Supervisor, but may also be assigned work from the Radiologist or the Administrative Director of Radiology.

Supervises: Diagnostic Radiology Technologists

Responsibilities: N/A

Education and Experience

Minimum Required Education: Graduation from an approved Radiography School

Experience: 5 plus years radiology experience to include completion of training in Diagnostic Radiology

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Applicants must be ARRT registered or registry eligible; applicants who are registry eligible must be registered within three months of employment. Must be BLS certified
