Position Summary
Join Medical Imaging at UHN, one of the largest academic medical imaging department in Canada! Our cutting-edge digital technology and dedicated team prioritize patient care and exceptional image quality.

The Ultrasound division specializes in diagnostic imaging using sound waves, a non-invasive technique that allows us to visualize internal structures of the body such as organs, tissues, and blood flow patterns.

The ultrasound department is a national and global leader in patient-centered care innovations. In 2005, contrast enhanced ultrasound was introduced for focal liver mass characterization. It's the first in Canada to perform point-of-care ultrasound, allowing technologists to scan and administer contrast agents on-site for quick, accurate nodule assessments.

The thyroid biopsy specialist program was launched, where sonographers are trained to independently perform ultrasound-guided fine-needle biopsies, reducing exam wait times and improving sample adequacy rates.

As a tertiary care hospital, the Toronto General Hospital site has Canada's largest transplant program, in which close to 4,000 transplant Doppler ultrasound exams are performed annually.

Be part of our journey to shape the future of medical imaging through innovation, ground breaking research, education, and excellence in patient care.
