DevSecOps Engineer
The Opportunity:

Seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to manage CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure in an Agile design, development, integration and deployment of a mission management software for heterogeneous, proliferated satellite constellations. Your ability to manage, administer, support, and enhance CI/CD pipeline system infrastructure, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution to optimize the orchestration of multiple Space Capability Stacks (SCSs) supporting complex, joint mission planning processes will be required to be successful executing this critical defense program.

As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will help lead a team in a high-velocity Agile development lifecycle of a mission management software where management of the CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure will emphasize efficiency and resiliency of Dev/Test/Training/Production environments. You will ensure that all infrastructure is maintainable and scalable for resilient operations and future enhancements. You will work within high-security, classified cloud-based environments, ensuring our development and deployment pipelines meet rigorous security and performance standards. This position is located in Chantilly, VA.

You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience in DevSecOps and software factory management
  • Experience as a DevSecOps Engineer delivering support of CI/CD pipeline for software
  • Experience deploying and managing containerized applications at scale
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud or OpenShift resources
  • Experience with Kubernetes and implementation of Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform, or Configuration as Code, such as Ansible, EKS/EKS, AWS, AKS, or Azure
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, software development frameworks, version control, including Git, relational databases, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, Python, AWS, and Kubernetes
  • Ability to support classified system integration
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAT Level III Certification within 30 days of hire date


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience automating, monitoring, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters in a production environment
  • Experience with GitOps tooling including Flux, Argo CD, and Kustomize
  • Experience implementing Cloud-Native solutions to accelerate application development
  • Knowledge of Linux or UNIX administration and automation
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems preferred
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, or AWS Certified Developer - Associate Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
