What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is seeking a skilled DevSecOps Engineer to support a large-scale federal technology program operating within secure and classified environments.

This role requires a hands-on engineer responsible for implementing and supporting DevSecOps practices that enable secure, automated, and efficient software delivery. The ideal candidate combines experience across software development, cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and security integration throughout the software development lifecycle.

The successful candidate will work closely with developers, architects, system engineers, and cybersecurity professionals to build and maintain secure delivery pipelines, automate infrastructure deployments, and improve development and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines supporting enterprise application delivery.
  • Integrate security controls, automated validation, and compliance checks throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation and automated environment provisioning.
  • Develop and maintain build automation, deployment automation, testing automation, and release management processes.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, cloud architects, systems engineers, and cybersecurity teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Support containerized application deployments and orchestration platforms.
  • Assist with cloud platform implementation, management, automation, and optimization activities.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability capabilities across development and operational environments.
  • Troubleshoot pipeline failures, deployment issues, configuration problems, and operational incidents.
  • Support vulnerability remediation activities and secure software delivery practices.
  • Participate in Agile software development activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, automation standards, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.


What You Will Need:
  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "TOP SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance.
    o Once onboard with Guidehouse, new hire MUST be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "TOP SECRET/SCI (TS/SCI)" security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree or four (4) additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Four (4) or more years of experience supporting software development, systems engineering, cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, or DevSecOps activities.
  • Experience implementing or supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated software delivery processes.
  • Experience working with source code repositories such as Git, GitLab, GitHub, or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience supporting cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience with scripting or automation technologies such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools.
  • Experience supporting secure, compliance-driven federal environments.


What Would Be Nice To Have:
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, or Ansible.
  • Experience with container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or similar platforms.
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps practices within enterprise software delivery environments.
  • Experience with automated testing, security scanning, vulnerability management, and compliance validation tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, Scrum, and SAFe delivery frameworks.
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-53, RMF, STIGs, Zero Trust, and secure software delivery concepts.
  • Experience supporting application modernization or cloud migration initiatives.
  • Experience supporting classified, national security, intelligence community, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS, Azure, Security+, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitLab, or related technical credentials.


The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
