Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to design, deploy, and operate reliable cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering skills, significant production incident management experience, and expertise in observability, automation, and reliability engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, deploy, and operate reliable cloud-native applications and services.
• Manage and resolve production incidents while minimizing service disruption.
• Define, monitor, and improve SLOs, SLIs, MTTD, and MTTR metrics.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, diagnostics, and troubleshooting solutions.
• Build automation to reduce operational toil and improve engineering efficiency.
• Develop and maintain software using Go, Java, or Python.
• Apply strong object-oriented programming principles to engineering solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex production, application, and infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to improve system reliability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes, reliability, and system performance.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of software engineering experience using Go, Java, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Significant experience managing production incidents in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience working with SLOs, SLIs, MTTD, and MTTR metrics.
• Strong observability experience, including monitoring, alerting, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
• Experience designing, deploying, and operating cloud-native applications.
• Experience building automation and reducing operational toil.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming fundamentals.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with Datadog or similar observability platforms.
• Experience with GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices.
