Full Job Description
The Role:

MDA is seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Specialist to be part of the IT Enterprise Business System team to play a crucial role to design, implement, and maintain our DevOps practices, tools, and processes. As a DevOps Specialist, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between our development and operations teams, ensuring the smooth operation of our software systems, and improving the overall efficiency and reliability of our technology stack. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance development, testing, and deployment processes, ensuring a seamless and reliable software delivery lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement DevOps practices, such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Continuous Monitoring, to improve the speed, quality, and reliability of our software releases
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to automate and streamline the build, test, and deployment processes.
• Utilize Terraform and Terragrunt to create and manage infrastructure as code for various cloud platforms, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Manage and enhance version control systems, particularly Git, to ensure codebase integrity and collaboration efficiency.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance overall system efficiency.
• Advise business groups by providing technical and strategic guidance that identify and address business issues and opportunities
• Provide technical design, coding, testing, implementation, maintenance, system and technical support for DevOps pipelines using industry standard ETL tools.
• Extract data from multiple sources, integrate disparate data into a common data model, and integrate data into a target database, application, or file using efficient ETL processes
• Implement and optimize CI/CD processes to enable rapid and reliable software releases.
• Set up and configure monitoring and logging solutions to ensure the health and performance of systems and applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide expertise on DevOps best practices.
• Skilled at coaching development teams on version control best practices to ensure code quality, collaboration, and maintainable workflows.
• Communicate effectively with clients to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Provide on-call support in support of DevOps pipelines in production and support source upgrades, Hardware/Software upgrade projects with impact analysis, fixes and end-to-end testing
• Provide operational support on failures and outages
• Implement new technologies by participating in the assessment of tools, software, and technological practices
• Troubleshoot issues related to software, compute, storage and networking
• Design training programs, create documentation and user guides, and deliver training to other Team Members
• Stay on top and showcase knowledge in the industry's latest trends and technologies in Data Analytics
• Collaborate with other teams, team members and stakeholders

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer/Data Science or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in Information Technology
• 3+ years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or Consultant.
• 2+ years of proven experience with Jenkins and GitLab for CI/CD.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform and/or Terragrunt for infrastructure automation.
• 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Strong experience with Git-based version control platforms (GitLab, Bitbucket, GitHub), including creating and reviewing merge requests, managing feature branches, and enforcing branching and merging strategies.
• Critical Thinking, Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and a positive thinker
• Solid scripting skills in Python.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Solid scripting skills in Python, Groovy and Bash
• Windows Azure, Azure Resources, Azure Security
• Good understanding and ability to apply various process and Design Patterns
• Hands on experience in Soap/Rest API/web service
• Relational Database Experience (SQL Server)
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Jenkins, Azure, Gitlab etc)

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.

The compensation range for this position is $85,000 - $120,000 annually. The specific compensation offered will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
