Description & Requirements

Reporting to a Lead Development Director, a Development Manager (DM) ensures the delivery

of a game feature is on time and within budget. You as the DM will oversee the project schedule

and manage the team to achieve a high standard.

Responsibilities:
• Work with Development Managers/Development Directors to implement processes and

practices that allow the team to produce high quality work efficiently, on time and on

budget.
• Ensure each project setup meets the milestones with regular status reporting and

capacity plan updates.
• Keep the team and partners' teams informed on development results, schedule, and

changes.
• Identifies task-related processes to improve efficiency and drives effective, measurable

process improvements to support the team's delivery and execution.
• Focus on the immediate team and identify team issues, and find creative solutions to

achieve results.
• Establish engagement processes to ensure all workflows are clearly defined, processes

are documented, and staff are trained in expectations.
• Manage professional development plans and conduct regular one-on-ones with direct

reports, playing a critical role in supporting them in their career development and

growth.

Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of Project Management or Project Lead Experience with

production lifecycles, processes and project planning.
• Detail oriented, organized and focused on quality
• Excellent people manager skills, with a demonstrable track record of supporting direct

reports in their professional development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with different

organizational levels, as well as ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
• Ability to rationalize decisions in a clear and objective manner

Bonus:
• Scrum Master or Agile Coach experience
• Experience working as a software engineer
• Experience with distributed development across multiple locations
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and certifications
• Game development experience

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$74,100 - $102,000 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.

For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
