Description & RequirementsThis team works hybrid 3 days/onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) at EA Vancouver.
The Role:
Reporting to a Development Director, a Development Manager (DM) within the art team ensures the delivery of game features and assets is on time and within budget. You as the DM will oversee the project schedule, hiring, and manage the team to achieve a high standard.
Your Responsibilities:
- Manage a development team which generally consists of Artists, Software Engineers and external partners.
- Anticipate bottlenecks, provide management escalation, project prioritization, make tradeoffs, balance the needs versus technical constraints, and promote initial partner deployments.
- Focus on the immediate team and identify team issues, and suggest solutions related to execution goals. Identify task-related processes to improve efficiency.
- Ensure each project setup meets the specifications of the Studio with regular status reporting and capacity plan updates.
- Using Jira, establish engagement processes to ensure all workflows are clearly defined, processes are documented, and staff are trained in expectations.
- Partner with Production, QV, Art Directors to ensure game quality targets are met.
Your Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Project Management or Project Lead Experience with production lifecycles, processes and project planning.
- Bachelor's degree in any number of related fields including Computer Science, Game Development, Business, 3D Arts.
- Experience in a Scrum / Agile software development environment.
- Proven track record using Jira and Jaas to manage concurrent projects. Ability to create dashboards, workflows and automation when required.
- Experience working with expansive teams, mediation and conflict resolution.
- Experience managing Outsource vendors and remote teams is considered an asset.
- Experience in feature or asset production is beneficial.

Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$104,500 - $142,800 CAD
