Full Job Description
Description & Requirements

This Development Director role leads co-development programs with external AI partners and EA studios, bringing generative AI tools and workflows into game production to amplify creativity and accelerate content creation. As a program leader on this team, you'll manage multi-project engagements across EA studios, central teams, and external partners, from discovery through delivery. You'll report to the group's Senior Development Director.

In your cover letter, please share an example of a project where you led through influence rather than direct reporting authority, including the challenge, your approach, and the outcome.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a program spanning multiple co-development projects, including game team engagements, partner deliverables, and steering governance
  • Partner with product managers, engineering, and studio leads to deliver projects in a high-change environment
  • Build trusted relationships across EA studios, central teams, and external partners, including communication plans and shared definitions of success across locations and time zones
  • Own program planning and execution: resourcing, scheduling, risk management, and partner relationships
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across teams that don't share a reporting line, removing blockers, bring clarity or people together, and escalating when appropriate
  • Establish and track clear delivery metrics and project health signals, surfacing progress, variances, and risks
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement across internal teams and external partners

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of production or project management experience in game development
  • Experience through several game cycles on a game team or a central team at a large game studio
  • Understanding of game development processes, with experience in project, risk, and partner-relationship management
  • Experience creating and delivering communications for senior leadership, including written briefs and live presentations
  • Experience leading cross-functional programs through working relationships rather than direct reporting authority
  • Enough technical fluency to engage with game development engineers, technical artists, and AI researchers-understanding their work and communicating in their language
  • Demonstrated change management skills, including creating operational guidelines and bringing stakeholders along through the change
