JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an LA based skilled Developer who, along with our excellent software development team, will be responsible for working on eCommerce projects that are currently being developed by our company. You will also be working closely with clients and cross-functional departments to understand functional and non-functional requirements, communicate project statuses, and scope future features.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test and provide tech support for eCommerce platform web applications
- Analyze business requirements design eCommerce integration data flow and database tables, then develop custom computer applications to help client automate some tasks involved in their eCommerce website management software and programming languages such as Python and PostgreSQL
- Perform necessary testing and maintain the data synchronization tools by troubleshooting data syncing issue cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Launch and maintain eCommerce platform applications that are deployed on Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Adobe Cloud.
Requirements:
- Full time in the LA office
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree
- 1-2 years experience
- Qualifying two-year experience to include Linux, Python, PostgreSQL, Javascript, HTML/CSS
- In lieu of a Bachelor's degree and two years' experience, the company will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related degree and knowledge of Linux, Python, PostgreSQL, Javascript, HTML/CSS, Cloud-base Web Service Management
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- React & TypeScript experience, including component-based architecture and state management.
- Hands-on knowledge of Django REST Framework or similar Python web frameworks, with a focus on building scalable APIs.
- Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration on AWS ECS / Fargate; basic Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or AWS CDK) is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred) and automated testing practices (unit, integration, E2E).
- Understanding of AWS networking and security concepts (VPC, ALB, WAF, IAM) and S3 + CloudFront static asset delivery.
Prior work on headless or composable commerce architectures and third-party eCommerce platforms such as Tiktok Shop, Shopify, or AdobeCommerce (Magento).
