Role Overview

As CodeRabbit's Developer Advocate, you'll be the on-the-ground face of our product, engaging local Bay Area communities, speaking at U.S. conferences, and building lasting relationships with developers. You'll also craft deep technical content (blog posts, demos, sample repos) that amplifies our AI code review capabilities. This in-person role blends community engagement with content creation to ensure developers everywhere understand and love CodeRabbit.

What You'll Do
  • Community Engagement & Events
    • Represent CodeRabbit at Bay Area meetups, hackathons, and conferences (3x week in SF office; travel nationally)
    • Organize and host local workshops, office hours, and coding sessions
    • Build relationships with developer groups, open-source projects, and tech meetups
  • Technical Content Creation
    • Produce in-depth blog posts, tutorials, and documentation highlighting features like PR Summaries, AST Grep rules, and 1-Click Suggestions
    • Develop and maintain sample apps and demo repos showcasing best practices with CodeRabbit
    • Create technical benchmarks and comparative analyses demonstrating AI-driven code review advantages
  • Multimedia & Social Outreach
    • Produce video demos, feature walkthroughs, and screencasts for YouTube and social channels
    • Generate engaging social media posts and developer newsletters
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Partner with engineers to learn upcoming features and translate them into compelling narratives
    • Feed community feedback back to product and engineering teams
What You'll Bring
  • Core Experience
    • 3+ years software development, with hands-on code review experience
    • Deep familiarity with Git, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality tools (linters, static analysis, AST manipulation)
    • Proven track record creating technical content (blogs, tutorials, docs) for developer audiences
  • Communication & Advocacy
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to demystify complex topics
    • Comfortable presenting live and on camera
    • Strong community-building mindset and relationship-driven approach
  • Technical Toolkit
    • Proficiency in ≥2 programming languages
