Role Overview

We're looking for a passionate and imaginative Designer to help bring the brand to life. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a fun, colorful, and Gen Z product range from concept to creation.

In this role, you'll play a key part in designing new collections, developing fresh, trend-driven ideas that capture the spirit of the brand. From initial concept through final product, you'll have the chance to make your creative mark while ensuring designs are delivered on time and within budget.

You'll collaborate with a dynamic, cross-functional team-including product development, technical design, production, and sales-to turn ideas into real, market-ready products. Responsibilities

  • Concept, color, trend, market strategy, runway knowledge and execution of mood boards and color palettes
  • Design compelling saleable product with cost in mind at every step
  • Proposes fabric to sketch and the ability to research fabrications in the market
  • Develops and maintains product detail sheets for each style - clearly detailing branding placement, techniques, top stitching, etc. Updates, manages, and communicates detail sheets to factories and cross-functional partners
  • Works with PD in the creation of BOMS and helps maintain the accuracy of the information
  • Create and maintains line sheets - sketch updates, style colorways, inspiration layouts and fabric details and color names
  • Develops initial flat and t/p for new development styles
  • Details any sketch updates and diagrams needed for factory based on fittings
  • Maintains design presentation boards and any assets needed for design meetings
  • Organizes and maintains design space on a daily basis
  • Daily communication with oversea vendors/factories
  • Strong relationships with cross-functional partners and key stakeholders including product development, technical design, production, sales, and other relevant teams within the supply chain to effectively move products from concept to delivery
  • Partners with marketing on product packaging, photoshoots, hangtags, catalogs, displays and images


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional design experience in womenswear, cut & sew knits and wovens experience
  • PLM experience a must, Centric a plus
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Deep understanding of garment construction
  • Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Ability to clearly communicate with overseas factories
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent design and sketching skills - both hand and digitally
  • Entrepreneurial and team spirit - ability to dive into new projects and pivot when needed
  • Extremely hands-on, ability to work at any stage of collection development and adapt to evolving design concepts


This a hybrid role, with 4 days in our NYC office

PAY RATE: $95,000/yr-$115,000/yr
