Full Job Description
POSITION: Designer

DEPARTMENT: Substation Design Engineering

LOCATION: Westwood

RATES OF PAY: $47.52 per hour

CURRENTLY POSTED HOURS: 7:30AM - 4:00PM

SCHEDULE: M-F

DESCRIPTION:

Under directive supervision, employees assist higher ratings in the office and field. Under general supervision, design assembles, prepare drawings and make revisions on existing drawings and make new drawings on difficult and complex projects. Performs related field checking. Instruct other employees in the work of this grade.

MININUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Ability to work in the office or field.
2. Must be familiar with the engineering practices associated with assigned projects and the Company's construction practices and procedures related to his/her grade of work.
3. Must be able to organize and direct within his/her grade the progress of drafting projects to completion in accordance with prescribed practices.
4. Must have demonstrated an interest and aptitude for higher grade drafting work.
5. Must have at least three years' experience as Drafting Technician Grade III - Pay Grade VIII or demonstrated ability in performing work.
6. Must have demonstrated an interest and aptitude for handling complete assignments in connection with important drafting projects.

7. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)

8. Must have a valid driver's license
