Full Job Description
As Design Manager, you will lead and coordinate various aspects of a project's preconstruction phase, including design, permitting, risk, estimating, HSEQ, constructability, value engineering, and construction planning. Ensure multidisciplinary teams remain aligned, deliverables are coordinated and constructible, risks are actively managed, estimates and GMP proposals are well supported, and project strategies optimize cost, schedule, safety, and quality. Support business development and project pursuits by shaping teams, scopes, budgets, schedules, and technical approaches, while maintaining continuity through construction, commissioning, turnover, and closeout. Bring a strong drive to achieve results and fulfill commitments to clients and project stakeholders.

What it takes:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 8+ years' experience in design build, integrated project delivery or complex construction projects
  • Strong understanding of construction execution, sequencing, means and methods, and close-out
  • PE & DBIA Certification (Desired)
  • Experience with alternative delivery methods such as Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, or CM/GC
  • Travel requirements will vary but could exceed 50% depending on assignment and project requirements
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple design disciplines and external consultants
  • Understanding and experience with win strategies, pricing and project scheduling
  • Experience in technical writing
  • Understanding of Scheduling, Estimating and Project Controls Software
  • A valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record
