Full Job Description
What You Will Do

  • Possess and operates under "Safety First" principles.
  • Engineering and design of Oil & Gas liquids storage and transportation systems, including piping, pumps, valves, control valves, vessels, flow meters, and other associated instrumentation and equipment.
  • Create and develop software system models for performing process system analysis on existing and proposed liquids storage and transportation systems.
  • Provide engineering and design support for liquids product blending and mixing.
  • Review, assessment and support of liquids terminals pipeline hydraulic and maintenance challenges
  • Develop materials, mechanical and process equipment specifications, data sheets and procurement packages.
  • Technically review proposals and provide recommendations for selection of mechanical and process equipment, including: pumps, valves, control valves (pressure and flow), relief valves, vessels, flow meters, and other associated instrumentation and equipment
  • Concurrently manage multiple tasks with various deadlines and responsibilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Need

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical engineering or related engineering is required

Required Qualifications:
  • 5 to 10 years' experience with gas and/or liquid storage and piping design is required.
  • Experience and knowledge in design, sizing, and selection of piping, fittings, valves, flow meters, etc.
  • Working knowledge of industry and regulatory codes and standards, such as 49CFR195, API, ASME, NFPA.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and Process Flow Diagrams, including flow charts, cause/effect diagrams, P&IDs, and fabrication drawings. Must be able to create schematics and Bills of Material in support of projects.
  • Must possess excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. Must be accountable for completing tasks with quality, compliance with applicable codes/standards, and on schedule. Must be accountable to and take direction from managers and senior leaders.
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities with minimal guidance or supervision. Ability to develop and coordinate work schedules, focus attention on details; follow and enforce policy and adhere to prescribed work practices is expected.
  • Effectively interface and collaborate with other Company departments including Project Management, Procurement, Engineering, Business Development, and Operations to maintain the integrity of the Company's infrastructure.
  • Represent the Company in area of expertise with customers, suppliers, licensees, third party engineering firms, outside consultants, and industry associations.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work while supporting the department and project managers with the goal of successful project execution.
  • Ability to take initiative and work with both company and non-company personnel to accomplish goals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have experience with Oil & Gas software system modeling software (SPS, HYSIS, other)
  • Proficient PC-based skills including MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Access) and engineering applications.
  • Must possess well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical matters.
  • Create technical specifications, Engineering Standards, Construction Standards, and O&M Standards to increase department efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced members of the group.
  • Prepare and coordinate engineering reports, calculations, studies, and presentations.
  • Maintain regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the Company.
  • Travel is required (~10%).
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, and maintain a valid Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC).
  • Position may be filled at various levels depending on the experience and job skills of a successful candidate.
