Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or similar (preferred); Associate’s degree or equivalent experience acceptable.
• 2 years' related experience preferred.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling, especially Autodesk Inventor.
• Drafting and design skills with metal fabrication; experience in material handling equipment and grain systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 5-10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Generate, evaluate, and analyze design concepts with a fact-based approach.
• Develop detailed models, drawings, and specifications using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.
• Prototype and test design concepts to ensure functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams, as well as customers, to design components and resolve problems.
• Compute mathematical formulas to create detailed specifications for components and machinery.
• Modify and revise designs to correct deficiencies or reduce production issues.
• Interface with customers and service representatives to assist with troubleshooting and gather feedback for projects.
• Create technical illustrations for manuals describing mechanical system operation and maintenance.
