Job DescriptionPosition SummaryOur Design Consultants work directly with clients in their homes or in showrooms through pre-scheduled appointments. This is a
consultative sales + interior design role where you will create custom storage solutions and deliver a premium customer experience from concept to installation.
Key Responsibilities As a California Closets Design Consultant, you will:
- Offer a luxury experience through product expertise and elevated service
- Provide in-home design consultations and space planning
- Design custom solutions using proprietary CAD software
- Work with interior designers, decorators, and builders
- Manage multiple client projects with strong attention to detail
- Travel daily to appointments in Oakland and Macomb Counties
QualificationsPreferred Skills- Experience in sales, interior design, home improvement, home organization professional, or related field
- Strong consultative sales and closing skills
- Ability to build rapport and develop relationships quickly
- Highly organized with excellent time management
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects
Requirements- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Tech savvy - ability to learn proprietary CAD design software
- Laptop required
- Must be able to travel frequently to Oakland and Macomb Counties
- Valid driver's license
- Full-time availability, includes some evenings and weekends
Compensation- Paid training
- Uncapped commission structure
- On-target earnings: $85,000-$120,000+
- Pre-set, qualified appointments provided
Work Environment- Field-based, in-home sales role
- Combination of client visits, remote design work, and showroom collaboration
