Full Job Description
Deputy Program Manager to support multiple U.S. Government engineering programs. This position is ideal for a technical leader with an engineering background who enjoys working in fast-paced, mission-focused environments.

As the Deputy Program Manager, you will partner closely with the Program Manager to oversee day-to-day program execution, coordinate technical teams, manage customer relationships, and ensure successful delivery of engineering efforts that meet contractual, technical, schedule, and financial objectives. You will also work directly with government customers and industry partners to help drive mission success.

What You'll Do
  • Support the Program Manager in overseeing daily program operations, resource allocation, financial tracking, performance metrics, and contract compliance.
  • Coordinate the execution of multiple engineering and technical projects across government contracts.
  • Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, status reports, and performance metrics.
  • Research, develop, and deliver high-impact presentation materials for both technical and executive audiences, including slide decks, white papers, executive summaries, information sheets, and briefing materials.
  • Manage customer-directed procurement activities, purchasing pipelines, invoicing, invoice approvals, and payment tracking.
  • Work directly with government customers and stakeholders to define project requirements, priorities, and acceptance criteria.
  • Identify technical, operational, financial, and schedule risks, developing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Facilitate project meetings, document meeting minutes, and track action items through completion.
  • Manage project scope and change requests while ensuring contractual and technical objectives are achieved.
  • Assist with staffing plans, workload balancing, and resource forecasting.
  • Continuously improve project management processes, documentation, and reporting to increase program efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical or management discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in technical program management, project management, systems engineering, or engineering leadership.
  • Strong understanding of modern Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, systems integration, or complex technical delivery environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing technical projects from planning and requirements development through implementation, validation, and delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor presentations for technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, mission-focused environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Electronic Warfare (EW) or Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) development programs.
  • Experience implementing and managing the Department of Defense Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
  • Experience supporting U.S. Army, NGA, DoD, or other national security programs.
  • Experience working in rapidly evolving engineering environments with changing mission requirements.
  • Experience assisting customers with technical requirements development and system planning.
  • Familiarity with government acquisition and engineering lifecycle processes.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), CAPM, PRINCE2, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe, or other Agile project management certifications.
  • Previous experience supporting government acquisition, engineering integration, or rapid prototyping efforts.
