Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance in a reasonable amount of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

 

The Deputy Program Manager, Engineering (DPME) will provide day-to-day program management leadership for the Obsolescence Refresh Program (including but not limited to 015 Converter Refresh, Displays Refresh, MBI-2 Refresh). This role is responsible for integrated planning, cost and schedule performance, risk and issue management, cross-functional coordination, customer meeting preparation, and maintenance of core program-management artifacts.

The successful candidate will work across engineering, supply chain, finance, operations, and functional organizations to maintain program execution discipline, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure accurate, timely communication to internal and external stakeholders.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Monitor program cost, schedule, technical, resource, and material performance; identify issues and drive mitigation actions with cross-functional owners.
  • Support IPT Lead in daily 015 Power Converter IPT execution, including team coordination, issue resolution, planning, action tracking, and escalation of program risks.
  • Maintain core program tracking tools and conduct recurring reviews of financial data, inchstones, team progress, and material status.
  • Prepare and coordinate monthly Executive Status Review (ESR) inputs, demand-planning updates, and other required program reporting.
  • Plan and support Integrated Program Reviews (IPRs) and customer meetings, including development of review materials, action-item management, and decision documentation.
  • Maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), including periodic updates, version control, archival of prior versions, and documentation of schedule changes.
  • Update and manage the Program Plan and associated change history to ensure program documentation accurately reflects current execution and customer commitments.
  • Support CLIN, feature, charge-number, staffing, and proposal/tasking planning activities.
  • Work closely with engineering, finance, supply chain, operations, and program leadership to ensure integrated execution and timely communication.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading complex technical, defense, manufacturing, engineering, or government programs.
  • Experience with integrated program planning, cost and schedule management, risk and opportunity management, and cross-functional execution.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and scheduling/project-management tools.
  • Experience preparing program reviews, status reports, customer-facing materials, and management decision packages.
  • Ability to analyze financial, schedule, material, and execution data and translate findings into clear actions and recommendations.
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet recurring reporting deadlines, and operate effectively in a dynamic program environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) concepts, Integrated Master Schedules, and defense-contract program execution.
  • Experience working with cross-functional organizations, such as supply-chain management, material planning, engineering, and operations organizations.
  • Familiarity with CLIN planning, proposal-development inputs, charge-number planning, and customer review processes.
  • Active security clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain one, if required for the position.
