The Opportunity:

The Hybrid Architecture and Development for Experimental Systems (HADES) contract provides prototype and operational satellite ground systems, satellite operations centers (SOCs), and support services. The contract performs satellite ground system and satellite operations center engineering, development, integration, and sustainment, and associated support services primarily at, but not limited to, the Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) Support Complex (RSC) at Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, New Mexico.

  • The Deputy Program Manager supports the Program Manager in daily execution of the HADES program spanning ground systems, hybrid‑cloud environments, engineering sustainment, and mission operations.
  • This role provides operational leadership and cross‑functional coordination across engineering, software, cybersecurity, logistics, and mission support teams.
  • The Deputy Program Manager ensures program alignment with customer requirements, performance objectives, and integrated schedule commitments.
  • The position contributes to risk, performance, and reporting accuracy and plays a key role in maintaining day‑to‑day program health.
  • The Deputy Program Manager serves as acting Program Manager when required and helps maintain strong customer relationships and communication channels.



Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily program execution across all HADES PWS elements including engineering, cybersecurity, sustainment, ground systems integration, and operations.
  • Support the Program Manager in managing cost, schedule, performance, staffing, risks, and technical integration activities.
  • Maintain program performance tracking, reporting accuracy, and updates to integrated master schedules and program documentation.
  • Facilitate cross functional collaboration among engineering, software sustainment, logistics, cybersecurity, and mission support teams.
  • Assist in contract transition execution, operational readiness activities, and sustained service delivery across all HADES task areas.
  • Ensure alignment between technical teams and customer objectives by supporting daily interactions, working groups, and decision forums.
  • Support the Program Manager in preparing status briefings, risk reviews, leadership updates, and customer deliverables.
  • Serve as secondary authority for program direction and act on behalf of the Program Manager during absences or surge periods.
  • Contribute to system availability tracking, mission operations support readiness, and compliance with HADES performance requirements. 



Qualifications:

Required: 

  • TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph eligibility.
  • Seven or more years supporting or leading complex DoD or Intelligence Community programs involving ground systems, operations, engineering, or cloud based capabilities.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams in engineering, software sustainment, cybersecurity, and logistics environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage performance tracking, integrated schedules, risk processes, and technical coordination activities.
  • Experience supporting contract transitions, operational readiness preparations, or service delivery management.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to support daily government interaction. 



Desired:

  • PMP certification or equivalent program management training.
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud ground architectures, mission system availability requirements, or cross domain mission operations frameworks.
  • Experience supporting integrated product teams or deputy level leadership roles for large government programs.
  • Skill in developing program documentation, preparing executive briefings, and supporting customer meetings and reviews.
