Full Job Description

The Deputy Program Manager (DPM) is responsible for monitoring program effectiveness and efficiency by providing comprehensive day-to-day support to the Program Manager, field key personnel while collaborating with respective functional areas that may include but not limited to HR, finance, procurement, recruitment, GSCM, IT/comms, and security.  

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Program Manager (PM) to develop, analyze, and strategize program goals, implement company policy, and procedures to ensure cost effective solutions are presented to the customer while maintaining efficiency to the program.     
  • Support the Program Manager understanding P/L, program budgets and costs, program funding and program financial reporting
  • Actively pursue solutions to correct deficiencies as necessary. Establish full understanding of task order(s), Statement of Work (SOW) and contract requirements in order to prepare, track and submit customer and corporate deliverables and program milestones.  
  • Respond to operational inquiries from the field and liaise with the Program Manager and others for program decision making. 
  • In the absence of the Program Manager demonstrate the ability to serve as a program representative to USG counterparts, management teams and other stakeholders in addition to weekly meetings with the customer.   
  • Works independently and exercises reasonable discernment with little supervision while providing clear documentation of activities and accomplishments
  • Support the Program Manager with the onboarding process for new candidates.
  • Coordinate with the deployment administrator that prerequisites for onboarding new hires and other travel needs or the program are met.
  • Review and track all program deliverables to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Review and track invoices to ensure all invoices are correctly and timely finalized and submitted to the client each month as required.
  • Research and collaborate with business operations regarding program performance, invoicing, and funding questions.
  • Coordinate RFIs with field teams as needed; prepare PowerPoint presentations for internal and external audiences.   
  • Act in absence of the Program Manager, as needed and as authorized.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5-8 years program management support/government contracting experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Experience working operations on a government contracting program.
  • Working knowledge of the practices, procedures and principles of business accounting and budgeting.
  • Advanced experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project
  • Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
  • Ability and willingness to travel to austere/hazardous locations as necessary.
  • Extensive travel may be required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance .

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Experience working TDY on a government contracting program overseas.
  • Working knowledge of CostPoint, and DELTEK systems.
  • Prior law enforcement experience preferred.

Compensation Details:

140000.
