As a global automotive technology leader, we are seeking a Deputy Plant Manager to help drive world-class manufacturing performance while developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced production environment.
Your Impact

As Deputy Plant Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in overseeing plant operations and driving excellence across production, quality, cost, delivery, safety, and people development. Partnering closely with the Plant Manager, you will help define and execute manufacturing strategies that ensure operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coach Autonomous Production Unit (UAP) Managers while partnering with functional leaders across HR, Quality, Finance, Logistics, Purchasing, and Engineering.
  • Drive plant performance through continuous improvement initiatives focused on Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD).
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through consistent execution and operational excellence.
  • Develop and manage plant budgets while achieving performance targets.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes, plant layout, equipment utilization, and operational efficiency.
  • Support successful launches of new products and ensure production readiness across all functions.
  • Improve supplier performance and strengthen operational collaboration throughout the supply chain.
  • Deploy and sustain the FORVIA Excellence System, embedding lean manufacturing principles and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Champion employee health, safety, and environmental compliance while fostering a strong safety-first culture.
  • Lead talent acquisition, development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Partner with the Plant Manager to maintain positive employee relations and a productive workplace culture.
  • Develop future manufacturing leaders and technical experts within the organization.
  • Drive daily operational management routines including TOP5, QRQC, TOP60, HSE audits, and performance reviews.
  • Generate and implement innovative ideas that improve plant performance and operational effectiveness.


Your profile and competencies to succeed

Minimum education level:
  • Minimum education level: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree (preferred) from engineering school

Professional Experience:
  • Successful experience in production management and lean manufacturing
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience, in a multi-site industrial environment

Skills and competencies:
  • Proven experience in team management, proven leadership skills and ability to coach
  • Knowledge in finance & control management
  • High degree of autonomy in day-to-day management and decision making
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to unite teams
  • Results oriented
