Deputy Construction Manager to join our team in
Toronto. This position requires a strong understanding of construction management principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
The
Deputy Construction Manager will be based on an exciting major airport infrastructure project based in the West end of
Toronto, Ontario. Your role- Deputizes for the Construction Manager as required to support the oversight and coordination of the construction activities.
- Ensure that all construction works are in accordance with design specifications and are carried out in accordance with budget and quality standards.
- Provide field execution leadership and a broad range of high quality and reliable construction expertise in a proactive manner.
- Provide technical and administrative guidance to construction personnel on site
- Maintain ongoing communication with customers, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assists the Construction Manager in the execution and planning of all phases within the project
About you- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in construction management.
- Minimum 5 years of on-site experience working in highly regulated, complex operational environments
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in large international airport projects or equivalent infrastructure programs.
- Good technical capability in all project phases, including design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance preferably large program/projects.
- Demonstrable experience in providing reporting to enable effective decision making.
- Good stakeholder engagement and communication skills including the ability to facilitate meetings / workshops with groups of stakeholders.
- Recognized degree and professional designation in a relevant field considered an asset.

Additional informationExpected compensation for this role is between $140,000 - $180,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
