The Opportunity:

  • As a CACI Deployment/Plans Specialists you will provide Joint Operational Planning and Execution System (JOPES) support for the United State Army Special Operations Command (USASOC).
  • Additionally, you will coordinate and validate the deployment, redeployment, and rotation of forces during exercises, contingency operations, and general war through all Combatant Commands.
  • Finally, you will supervise multiple deployments in support of Military Operations and Training Exercises time-phased-force-deployment-data (TPFDD) documents simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide transportation and traffic management technical advice guidance, direction, and input for the worldwide movement of all Army Special Operations units (active and reserve components) in support of contingency plans, joint maneuvers exercises and other operational commitments.
  • Formulate, prepare, and disseminate multi-mode movement planning guidance for Component Subordinate Commands (CSC) and Component Subordinate Units (CSU) using applicable directives, regulations, plans and requirements emanating from the Joint Chief of Staff (JCS), Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA), United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Geographic Combatant Commands, (GCC), and unified commands.
  • Coordinate daily with HQ USSOCOM, HQDA, GCCs, Theater Special Operation Commands (TSOC), USASOC CSCs and CSUs, Direct Reporting Units (DRU), and other Army Service Component Command (ASCC) Level staffs, Supporting Commanders and Agencies to properly validate the deployment of forces in support of crisis operations.
  • Assist to develop and coordinate USASOC transportation policy and procedures with all subordinate command installations and with major military commands such as HQDA, USSOCOM, United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM), Air Mobility Command (AMC), Tanker Airlift Control Center (TACC), and Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC).
  • Review policy level correspondence and staff studies to become familiar with specific operational problems and accomplishments to form the basis for decisions and actions concerning unit movement functions.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of policies, procedures, command/roles/relationships, the force planning database, and related automated data processing (ADP) systems, files, applications and capabilities.
  • Submit message request for the validation of force deployments and redeployments supported by JOPES procedures and ADP.
  • Serve as a senior level advisor to the Branch Chief, Operations Division Chief, USASOC G-3, and USASOC Commander on all phases of the deployment processes via JOPES and TPFDD management.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Current Secret Clearance
  • Minimum 10 years military experience.
  • Minimum 5 years JOPES experience.
  • Minimum 3 years JOPES experience at Division or higher echelon.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Force deployment planning and strategic coordination.
  • Excellent communication skill 6 both verbal and written.

Desired:

  • Current Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • 5+ years JOPES experience supporting United States Special Operations Forces at the 06 Command level or higher.
  • 3+ years JOPES experience supporting a Joint or Combined Command Headquarters.
  • Familiarity with USTRANSCOM coordination processes.
