Position Summary

The Deployment Manager is responsible for the end-to-end execution of Building Management System (BMS) projects at the site level. Serving as the primary Schneider Electric representative onsite, the Deployment Manager ensures successful project delivery through strong technical expertise, disciplined execution, and effective leadership of cross-functional resources.

This role combines deep knowledge of building controls, HVAC, electrical systems, and data center environments with the ability to manage technicians, engineering teams, subcontractors, and assigned graphics and software resources. The Deployment Manager plays a critical role in quality, schedule adherence, risk mitigation, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Leadership

• Lead overall onsite execution of assigned BMS and data center projects from installation through commissioning

• Act as the primary Schneider Electric and Digital Buildings representative in project, customer, and coordination meetings from a technical position

• Develop a clear understanding of project scope, specifications, and contractual requirements

• Help Project manager to forecast and adjust staffing needs based on project schedule and workload

• Coordinate with the project manager on material delivery, installation sequencing, and subcontractor activities

• Identify, communicate, and mitigate schedule, resource, and technical risks

• Maintain redlines and documentation to support accurate as-built deliverables

• Identify and train local technicians to take the lead as the technical lead on the project in the future

Technical Execution & Commissioning

• Lead and support BMS commissioning activities, ensuring systems meet design intent and performance requirements

• Serve as the onsite expert for hardware, controllers, field devices, and terminations

• Load and configure controllers in accordance with project specifications

• Troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, network, and controls-related system issues

• Diagnose and resolve communication protocol issues, including:

• Modbus (RS-485 and IP)

• BACnet MSTP and IP

• Adjust graphics, alarms, and system configurations as required with the aid of the software engineering team

• Complete all checkout sheets and commissioning documentation accurately and on time

Collaboration & Mentorship

• Lead and manage local technicians and electrical subcontractors

• Coordinate closely with engineering, graphics, and software teams

• Mentor technicians and peers in Deployment Management best practices

• Promote a strong safety culture, quality mindset, and customer-first approach

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Technical Expertise

• Comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems

• Strong knowledge of Schneider Electric building controls products and architectures

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret control drawings and schematics

• In-depth understanding of electrical circuits, including load calculations, voltage drop, and safety considerations

• Working knowledge of building codes as they apply to BMS installations

• Understanding of commissioning principles and data center efficiency metrics

• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, controls, and network systems

• Understanding of networking fundamentals and cable types

Management & Organizational Skills

• Proven leadership capability, including mentoring and team development

• Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Experience with inventory management and material coordination

• Basic understanding of change order processes

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Qualifications (Typical)

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience in Engineering, Controls, Electrical, or HVAC-related field

• Relevant experience in building automation systems, data centers, or mission-critical environments

• Prior experience leading field teams and commissioning activities preferred

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 86,400 - USD 129,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
