Full Job Description
Deployed Support Specialist to support the Marine Corps Cyber Operations Group (MCCOG) in Quantico, VA. This onsite role serves as a critical resource for deployed Marine Corps units, providing technical planning, deployment support, network troubleshooting, and VIP-level support for new technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong networking expertise, experience supporting operational deployments, and the ability to provide responsive support in dynamic mission environments.

Responsibilities
  • Provide network engineering guidance and technical support during the planning and execution phases of deployments and military exercises.
  • Deliver direct computer and network support to deployed USMC units, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise systems.
  • Support and maintain routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS platforms, DNS, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and related infrastructure.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of Information Assurance (IA) training for deployed personnel.
  • Support the D-30 deployment process, including hardware/software identification, logistics coordination, foreign clearance requests, visa procurement, and operational documentation.
  • Coordinate transportation, import permits, inventory tracking, and return of reusable equipment supporting contingency operations.
  • Serve as the primary VIP support resource for new technology deployments, providing troubleshooting, maintenance, user assistance, and issue resolution.
  • Support flexible work schedules during deployment activities and operational events to ensure mission success.
Qualifications
  • Experience providing technical support in deployed, military, government, or operational environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience supporting enterprise networking technologies and infrastructure.
  • Experience administering and troubleshooting routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange.
  • Possess an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) network support certification.
  • Possess an Operating System (OS) and/or Application Certification from Microsoft, Cisco, or a comparable vendor.
  • Ability to support deployment planning, logistics coordination, and operational readiness activities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support executive and VIP users in high-visibility environments.
