A leading medical institution is seeking a Department Safety Advisor to help develop and maintain comprehensive environmental health and safety programs across research, laboratory, administrative, and facilities operations.

Department Safety Advisor Responsibilities:
  • Partner with departments, laboratory personnel, managers, and facilities teams to ensure compliance with environmental health and safety regulations, policies, and hazardous materials programs.
  • Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, accident investigations, and ergonomic, fire, and life safety evaluations while recommending and implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide environmental health and safety guidance for laboratories, research activities, facility projects, and the design of experiments involving hazardous materials.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, training, and compliance initiatives while supporting continuous improvement across multiple worksites.
  • Monitor regulatory compliance, support safety committees, and promote a safe workplace throughout research and administrative operations.

Department Safety Advisor Qualifications:
  • 5 years of EHS experience supporting research, laboratory, healthcare, or similar regulated environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental health and safety regulations, hazardous materials management, workplace safety, and compliance programs.

Shift:
  • Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
