This role will be responsible for leading demand planning efforts across the organization, working closely with Sales, Product Management, Operations, and Finance to ensure we have the right products in the right place at the right time. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, proactive, and comfortable turning data into practical business decisions.
Responsibilities- Lead the demand planning process and develop forecasting strategies that support business growth and inventory objectives.
- Manage the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and help align demand plans with operational capabilities.
- Build and maintain forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, seasonality, promotions, and customer insights.
- Develop inventory planning strategies that balance product availability with inventory investment.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Operations, and Finance to identify demand changes and business opportunities.
- Establish inventory targets, safety stock levels, and replenishment strategies across multiple distribution centers and product lines.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and inventory performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Track key metrics such as inventory turnover, service levels, fill rates, forecast accuracy, and inventory health.
- Lead projects focused on inventory reduction, process improvements, and operational efficiency.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for senior leadership.
- Manage and develop members of the demand planning team.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, or supply chain planning.
- Experience supporting multiple locations, distribution centers, or regions.
- Strong understanding of S&OP processes.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with ERP systems, planning tools, and reporting platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Power BI experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments.
- Previous leadership or team management experience preferred.
