The Demand Planner II is responsible for developing accurate and reliable demand forecasts to support optimal inventory levels and meet customer needs. This role works closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Production, and Inventory Management to analyze historical data, market trends, and customer demand, helping improve forecast accuracy and overall inventory performance.

Targeted Compensation: The targeted compensation range for this position is $77,000-$90,000 annually, depending on the selected candidate's qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.



Job Responsibilities
  • Forecasting: Develop, implement, and manage demand forecasts based on historical data, sales trends, and market information. Regularly update and revise forecasts to reflect changing business conditions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain, to align demand planning strategies and address discrepancies.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and adjust forecasts to help prevent overstock and stockouts. Ensure alignment between production schedules, supplier lead times, and demand forecasts.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize demand planning tools and software to analyze sales and inventory data and provide insights and recommendations to improve supply chain performance.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and measure demand forecast performance using key performance indicators (KPIs), including forecast accuracy, fill rate, and inventory turnover.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks or gaps in demand forecasting and collaborate with appropriate teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present demand planning reports to management, highlighting forecast accuracy, inventory performance, and changes in demand patterns.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements to demand planning processes, tools, and methodologies by leveraging best practices to enhance forecast accuracy and operational efficiency.


Required Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or inventory management: Required
  • Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment: Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or technical school: Required
    • Preferred field of study: Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook: Required
  • Experience using demand planning software; SAP experience is highly preferred
  • Experience with supply chain management systems and SAP/ERP tools
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large data sets and translate data into actionable insights
  • Knowledge of inventory control, sales trends, and demand planning best practices
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Job Requirements
  • Ability and willingness to pass a 10-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check
    • Most felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Must be willing and able to utilize all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 10% for training and business needs
  • Valid Drivers' License must be maintained throughout employment that meets Busch insurance standards
  • Employment with Busch Vacuum Solutions requires current work authorization in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.


Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching outward, and grasping
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Occasional climbing, squatting, kneeling, and reaching above the shoulder
  • Ability to perform required pushing and pulling activities associated with the position
  • Must be able to hear and see audible and visual alarms and wear all required PPE, including safety shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection
