Full Job Description
Job Description

The Demand Planner owns the statistical and collaborative forecast for an assigned set of categories and channels, turning historical sell-through, promotional activity, and market intelligence into a forecast that Supply Planning, Sales, and Finance can plan against with confidence. This role leads the demand side of our monthly S&OP process and is a key voice in how Bulletproof anticipates what customers will want next.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain statistical baseline forecasts at the SKU, channel, and customer level using historical shipment, POS, and consumption data.
  • Lead the Demand Review as part of the monthly S&OP cycle, incorporating input from Sales, Marketing, and Finance to land a single consensus forecast.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to size promotions, new item launches, and seasonal programs, and incorporate that lift into the forecast.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and bias by SKU and customer, diagnose root causes, and drive corrective action with cross-functional owners.
  • Maintain and improve demand planning tools and models, including exception-based alerts that flag forecast risk early.
  • Analyze POS, syndicated data (e.g., Circana/IRI, Nielsen, SPINS), and DTC e-commerce analytics to spot emerging trends and adjust the outlook proactively.
  • Serve as the primary demand-side partner to Supply Planning, clearly communicating changes in outlook that affect production and purchasing decisions.
  • Support new product forecasting, including analog-based approaches for items without sales history.
  • Present forecast risks, opportunities, and demand insights to cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or a related analytical role - food, beverage, or CPG experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Statistics, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills; experience with forecasting/demand planning software (e.g., o9, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, SAP IBP, or similar) plus advanced Excel.
  • Experience with syndicated data sources (Circana/IRI, Nielsen, SPINS) and/or DTC e-commerce analytics.
  • A track record of leading cross-functional S&OP or consensus forecasting processes.
  • Excellent communication skills; comfortable presenting forecasts and trade-offs to senior leadership.
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable with ambiguity - energized by the pace of a growing consumer brand.
  • Preferred, but not required:
    • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM or CSCP).
    • Experience forecasting across both retail/wholesale and DTC/e-commerce channels.
    • Background in beverage, coffee, or functional food/supplement categories.
