Job Summary:

Caterpillar's Large Power Systems' Division is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Demand & Orders Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for order forecast and demand changes with customers. You will be responsible for ensuring requests can successfully shipped on time.

What you will do:
  • Respond to dealers and the industry team about availability inquiries for new machines
  • Responsible to resolve any grief with the order prior to releasing to the plant or product distribution center
  • Accurately and timely completion of all order management processes during the intake of new engines and genset orders received from the dealer network so that scheduling, building, and shipment can be completed on time for the customer
  • Responsible for the review and implementation of requested changes to existing orders as long as they fall under prescribed guidelines
  • Coordinating with our Shipping team and service providers for shipping arrangements.
  • Collaborate in project work as a subject matter expert for process improvement and new process deployment as it related to order management processes
  • Serve as backup to similar positions within the section during periods of absence
  • Assist with any of the supporting processes used within the Orders/Demand Management group such as creation and mailing of Manufacturing Certificate of Origin documents, Sarbanes-Oxley control testing and compliance, parts return claim processing, etc. as assigned.

  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Working knowledge and understanding of the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Data Gathering & Analysis: Working knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgement.
  • Demand Management: Basic understanding of processes and methods of Demand Management; ability to effectively sense, predict, plan for and manage the demand for products and services.
  • Effective Communications: Working knowledge of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Planning and Organizing: Working knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
  • Problem Solving: Working knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Demonstrated customer service experience with exceptional communication skills and a customer-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience in a Order to Delivery roles in automotive, aerospace, or other manufacturing industries
  • Advanced conflict management and resolution
  • Pervious engine product knowledge
  • Experience handling a variety of opposing objectives and arriving to a solution that satisfies the primary needs of the customer.
  • Intellectual Curiosity

Summary Pay Range:

$89,210.00 - $133,810.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
