Description

Markon is seeking an experienced Demand Forecast Specialist to support an Intelligence Community customer. This role supports pricing, forecasting, and financial analysis within a Working Capital Fund environment, using historical demand, financial data, and economic indicators to develop accurate forecasts and pricing models. This position will also evaluate existing forecasting methodologies, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement strategies that enhance forecast accuracy and financial decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts and complex financial/pricing models using advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Collect, normalize, and analyze historical financial and demand data for products and services.
  • Assess historical demand forecasting methodologies, identify gaps and opportunities for improvement, and recommend and implement enhanced forecasting processes and strategies.
  • Evaluate historical Working Capital Fund demand, pricing, trends, and other factors that may impact future requirements.
  • Research economic indicators, demand shifts, and business drivers and incorporate findings into forecasting assumptions.
  • Perform pricing and financial analyses to support Working Capital Fund products and services.
  • Develop scenarios, trend analyses, and financial projections to support planning and decision-making.
  • Validate forecasting assumptions and methodologies to improve the accuracy and reliability of financial projections.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations that clearly communicate forecast results and financial impacts.
  • Collaborate with customer stakeholders to refine forecasting methodologies, implement process improvements, and support financial decisions.
Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI w/ active Polygraph required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree and/or CPA certification preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in financial management, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), accounting, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including development of complex financial models.
  • Experience collecting, normalizing, and analyzing complex historical datasets.
  • Experience evaluating forecasting methodologies and recommending or implementing process improvements and forecasting strategies.
  • Experience researching trends, economic indicators, and other variables to develop or adjust forecasts.
  • Proven consulting experience with strong client relationship management skills.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical judgment, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting a federal Working Capital Fund (WCF).
  • Experience forecasting demand and developing pricing models for WCF products or services.
  • Familiarity with Intelligence Community financial systems, processes, and business operations.
  • Experience working directly with customer finance personnel and senior stakeholders.
Salary RangeUSD $180,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
