Full Job Description
Position Overview
The Delivery Lead owns delivery health for an assigned product area within Price Optimization. That means tracking the portfolio of initiatives in flight, surfacing risks before they become blockers, and keeping product, technology, and operations aligned on priorities and expectations.

This is not a team-level facilitation role. This person operates at the portfolio level, partnering closely with product management and engineering leadership to make sure the right work is getting done, in the right sequence, with the right quality. They are the operational backbone of delivery for their product area.

What You'll Do:
• Own delivery status across all active initiatives within the assigned product area, tracking progress, risks, and dependencies
• Maintain a clear, accurate view of what is in flight, what is at risk, and what needs leadership attention
• Prepare and facilitate delivery status reviews with senior stakeholders including product and technology leaders
• Ensure commitments are realistic when made and visible when at risk
• Establish and maintain a delivery reporting cadence that gives leaders the insight they need without requiring manual effort to produce it
• Partner with product managers to prioritize the initiative portfolio and align delivery sequencing to business value
• Work closely with technology leads to understand capacity, dependencies, and technical risk before they affect delivery
• Serve as the connective tissue between product intent and engineering execution
• Engage regularly with cross-functional stakeholders to align expectations and communicate delivery progress clearly
• Escalate risks with context and recommended paths forward, not just status updates
• Partner with product management to apply PDLC standards at the intake gate, reducing late-stage discovery and churn
• Identify patterns in intake quality and work with product and engineering to resolve them upstream
• Monitor initiative readiness and coordinate preparation for delivery planning cycles
• Flag intake gaps before they create delivery disruptions
• Identify process gaps and operational inefficiencies across the product area's delivery model and execute improvements
• Build and maintain delivery dashboards and reporting artifacts in Jira and other tools
• Define consistent standards for how work is tracked, reported, and escalated across multiple engineering teams
• Champion data quality in Jira as a prerequisite for trustworthy reporting
• Identify and implement AI tools that reduce manual overhead in delivery tracking, reporting, and stakeholder communication

What You'll Bring to Zelis:
• 8 or more years in program management, delivery operations, portfolio management, or a related field; Master's degree may substitute for up to 2 years of experience
• Demonstrated experience managing delivery across a portfolio of concurrent initiatives, with direct accountability for tracking, reporting, and risk management
• Proficiency using AI tools in day-to-day work, including the ability to develop effective prompts and evaluate AI outputs critically
• Hands-on experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Jira Product Discovery) and a working understanding of SDLC frameworks including Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to reach agreement on priorities in ambiguous situations and communicate delivery status clearly to senior leaders

Please note at this time we are unable to proceed with candidates who require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
