We are seeking a results-driven and technically proficient Agile Delivery Leader to oversee and optimize the performance of cross-functional engineering teams. This role is responsible for driving efficient, continuous software delivery through Agile methodologies, DevOps best practices, and disciplined SDLC execution. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills with hands-on software development expertise to improve estimation accuracy, increase engineering productivity, and identify opportunities to reengineer team structures and processes to enhance delivery effectiveness and reduce operating costs. This individual will leverage data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement, communicate progress and outcomes through executive-level presentations and reports, and partner closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that align with organizational objectives.
The Delivery / DevOps Agile Lead partners with departments list engineering, product, and business stakeholders to improve delivery flow, strengthen release execution, reduce non-value-add work, and support predictable delivery outcomes in cloud and DevOps environments.
ResponsibilitiesRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Advanced knowledge of Agile delivery practices, including Scrum, Kanban, sprint planning and execution, backlog refinement, estimation techniques, retrospectives, and continuous improvement methodologies
Advanced knowledge of DevOps, cloud-based delivery environments, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, release management, deployment practices, site reliability principles, and operational support processes
Advanced proficiency in software development, coding practices, system design, and software engineering principles, with the ability to actively contribute to development efforts, review code, validate estimates, and resolve technical delivery challenges
Expert knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements management, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, quality assurance, and technical delivery governance
Strong ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional engineering, product, architecture, and DevOps teams to achieve delivery objectives, remove impediments, manage dependencies, and improve execution effectiveness
Demonstrated ability to assess, redesign, and optimize team structures, Agile operating models, workflows, and delivery practices to increase productivity, improve quality, accelerate delivery, and reduce development and Scrum-related costs
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate delivery, engineering, and operational metrics, including velocity, throughput, lead time, deployment frequency, predictability, quality trends, and mean time to recovery (MTTR), and translate findings into actionable improvements
Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, and related Agile, DevOps, and reporting tools to support planning, execution, transparency, governance, and performance measurement
Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to prepare executive-level PowerPoint presentations, dashboards, business cases, and delivery reports, and effectively influence technical and business leaders
Working knowledge of AI-enabled technologies and their application within software engineering, Agile delivery, DevOps automation, estimation, reporting, and process improvement, including responsible use of AI, data protection requirements, validation of AI-assisted outputs, and alignment with organizational policies and governance standards
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience supporting Agile delivery in healthcare technology, regulated SaaS, or other compliance-oriented technology environments
Experience improving CI/CD maturity, automated testing adoption, DevOps operating models, or release reliability
Experience with scaled Agile, team-of-teams coordination, quarterly planning, PI planning, or multi-team dependency management
Familiarity with cloud engineering, platform engineering, Infrastructure as Code, observability, incident response, or site reliability practices
Experience using delivery analytics, dashboards, and executive reporting to support data-driven decisions
Experience:
5 or more years of experience leading Agile delivery, Scrum, delivery management, or technology execution within software engineering, DevOps, cloud, or SaaS environments
3 or more years of experience working with engineering teams using modern SDLC practices, CI/CD pipelines, release practices, automated testing, or DevOps delivery models
Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing blockers, improving delivery metrics, and driving continuous improvement across one or more engineering teams
Experience reviewing or challenging technical estimates, delivery assumptions, team capacity, or engineering execution plans
Experience preparing leadership-facing reports, dashboards, presentations, or delivery updates
Required Training, Certification and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Practical experience leading Agile delivery within DevOps/Cloud environments
Expertise in Jira/Confluence
Preferred Training, Certification and Education:
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe certification preferred
Professional Scrum Master (PSM), PMI-ACP, or comparable Agile certification
Training or certification in DevOps, cloud platforms, software delivery, product delivery, or release management
Advanced Agile, facilitation, coaching, or delivery leadership training
Working Conditions:
Remote or home office environment
Ability to sit and use workstation equipment for up to 8 hours daily
Frequent video meetings, facilitation sessions, and cross-functional delivery discussions
May require occasional work outside standard business hours to support release activities, delivery escalations, or incident learning
May require occasional travel for planning sessions, team workshops, or leadership meetings
