Full Job Description
**The position is located at Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB), Colorado with occasional travel to Vandenberg SFB (VSFB), California**

Position Overview

Infinity Systems Engineering is seeking a Defensive Cyberspace Operations Monitors (DCOM) in support of the Global Positioning System (GPS). DCOMs utilize Operating Instructions (OIs) to monitor GPS Control Segment activity via the Red Dragon Cyber Security Suite (RDCSS). DCOMs will provide threat detection and cyber incident response on a 24/7 basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor GPS network traffic conditions, performance, bandwidth indicators, anomaly alerts, unauthorized activity, audit logs, and any on-going cyber event or incident
  • Provide notification to Space Force leadership of identified anomalous conditions
  • Identify and document unauthorized activity and/or cyber events
  • Conduct Malware Protection (MP) activities
  • Collect packet capture data in support of Attack Sensing & Warning Components
  • Provide insider threat detection support

Qualifications:

  • Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree or in lieu of degree equivalent years of related experience will be considered
  • Clearance Requirement: Secret with ability to attain TS/SCI
  • Required Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and teamworking skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to attain Splunk Core User certification within 6 months
    • Ability to attain CSSP Analyst & Incident Responder or Sec+ certification within 6 months
    • Willing to travel to alternate operations location (up to 4 times per year)
    • Willing to work in a 24/7 crew environment, with ability to work different rotations as needed
      • This position is primarily MID-SHIFT with ability to adjust to support mission requirements as needed
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Working experience with GPS systems


Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
  • The position is located at Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB), Colorado with occasional travel to Vandenberg SFB (VSFB), California
  • This position is primarily MID-SHIFT with ability to adjust to support mission requirements as needed
  • Ability to work at a desk and operate a computer for extended periods
  • Occasional lifting of IT equipment or hardware components (up to 25 lbs)
