Debug Engineer
SME I - Semiconductor Product Validation
UST is searching for a Debug Engineer debug and troubleshoot test benches and hardware setups.
The opportunity:
• Execute tests, collect data, and summarize results.
• Perform high-speed channel calibration using a Network Analyzer.
• Measure transmitter/channel parameters using high-speed oscilloscopes.
• Perform testing using BERT equipment.
• Support test automation and data collection using Python scripts.
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
What you need:
• Experience: 4+ years
• Hands-on experience with Network Analyzer, BERT, and high-speed oscilloscopes.
• Good understanding of S-parameters and high-speed channel measurements.
• Basic knowledge of SERDES. Working knowledge of Python scripting.
• Experience in hardware validation, debugging, and lab testing.
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: San Jose, California
Compensation Range: $75,000-$113,000

Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).
All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
