Full Job Description
Citizens is seeking an experienced Debt Capital Markets Analyst III/Associate I to support the aligned industry team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for you to join a rapidly growing investment banking platform with market leading positions in middle market corporate and sponsor backed transactions complemented by strong public equity research. While in this role, you will be significantly involved in transactions from origination through closing. Additionally, you should have the ability to work on multiple projects and transactions concurrently. Furthermore, you will play a critical role on deal terms and coordinating projects and will interact directly with managing directors, senior management, other groups within Citizens, client management terms, private equity firms, legal counsel, and professionals at other banks. Primary responsibilities include 3 Working with Managing Directors to develop new business ideas, pitch strategies or transaction financing scenarios to help corporate clients and financial sponsors achieve their financial and strategic objectives. 3 Performing extensive financial statement modeling for a variety of transaction scenarios. 3 Conducting comprehensive company and industry research. 3 Analyzing financial model output and client information to prioritize data and present conclusions for discussion purposes. 3 Coordinating with Managing Directors to provide indicative transaction structure and pricing guidance based on financial model and comparable transaction analysis. 3 Preparing pitch materials for client meetings. 3 Supporting Portfolio / Relationship Managers in transaction screening and credit / underwriting approval meetings to provide detailed overviews on clients and transactions and offer market insights and advice. 3 Playing a key leadership role throughout the transaction execution process. 3 Participating in accounting, business, and legal due diligence (with drafting sessions for public offerings). 3 Working with legal counsel and clients / financial sponsors to draft and negotiate all legal documentation. 3 Working with sales distribution team to develop syndication strategies with targeted investor lists and populate and manage data room information and access. 3 Preparing detailed transaction marketing materials including confidential information memoranda and lender presentations. 3 Organizing Ratings Agency Meetings, Lender meetings and Investor Roadshows for private and public debt offerings. 3 Coordinating with sales distribution team to answer lender due diligence questions. 3 Assisting clients, internal operations team, and investors through the closing process. Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credential Required: 3 We seek multi-faceted, results-driven, creative individuals ideally with 2+ years experience in Investment Banking or in the Big 4 Deals Advisory practice, who can generate ideas and execute them successfully as part of a dynamic team. 3 Bachelors Degree in Finance or related field Preferred: 3 You will need to demonstrate superior problem solving and analytical capabilities accompanied by evidence of academic excellence and a strong work ethic. 3 You should have a track record of showing leadership and teamwork aptitudes, as well as display exceptional written and oral communication skills. 3 A strong attention to detail and focus on quality of client deliverables is essential. Hours & Work Schedule 3 Hours per Week: 40+ hours 3 Work Schedule: In Office 4 day a week, role could be based in Boston or Charlotte The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $175,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience.
