Full Job Description

Shift Supervisors are responsible for organizing and planning maintenance, operator scheduling, and the process changes of a highly automated state of the art system that produces distinctive high quality ingredients and solutions to the food, beverage, and other industries.

Key Results and Specific Accountabilities

Safety:

  • Execute Benchmark Actions and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Enter Benchmark items when appropriate
  • Manage Monthly Departmental Safety Meetings
  • Perform Monthly Safety audits
  • Train/qualify new employees with expectations
  • Plans for proper permitting needs and issues permits when needed

Quality:

  • Create GMP cleaning lists and RCA on repeat issues
  • Establish process targets for quality specs and create plans to execute
  • Establish direction/training for meeting quality targets
  • Dig into product quality daily
  • Creates and maintains non-GMO procedures

Maintenance:

  • Writes work notifications
  • Holds role of OMC for maintenance planning and scheduling
  • Assists in RCA for failures

Operations:

  • Active participation in the Operational Excellence program through active reporting of KPI’s, data driven metrics, and accountable actions for problem resolution.
  • Provides back-up direction to PC & Area Manager
  • Establish targets for process and production rates
  • Compare daily production rates against targets and provide direction
  • Identify "health" of the process and know what needs to improve
  • Schedule and plan for Operations PM's: parts, resources, schedule
  • Help RCA process %OST
  • Schedule operators and overtime with a purpose
  • Track operator attendance and initiate timely absenteeism notifications
  • Review operator time sheets for accuracy and approve time worked
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting
  • Plan and communicate production trials
  • Be present in the processing areas daily

    Tate & Lyle complies with all local/state regulations requiring salary range transparency.

    When determining final compensation, we take into consideration: skillset, job scope, knowledge, prior experience, cost of living, market data, budget availability, and other factors as permitted by law.

    The Salary range for this position is $71,400.00 - $95,200.00 - $119,000.00 USD Annual
