Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced IBM DataStage ETL Developer to support enterprise data integration initiatives within a fast-paced financial services environment. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can independently design, develop, and support complex ETL solutions while coordinating with business partners and offshore development resources.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in IBM DataStage, SQL, data warehousing, and production support. This individual must be capable of translating business requirements into technical solutions, driving delivery, conducting code reviews, and ensuring high-quality ETL development across both onshore and offshore teams.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
• Serve as a key resource for DataStage development efforts.
• Help lead and coordinate offshore developers to ensure timely delivery.
• Review technical designs, ETL jobs, and code submissions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers.
• Participate in architecture discussions and solution design reviews.
Hands-On Development
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain IBM DataStage ETL processes.
• Develop complex data integration solutions involving multiple source and target systems
• Design and develop API-based integrations using REST services.
• Read, parse, transform, and load JSON payloads using DataStage to support business requirements.
• Create reusable ETL components and frameworks.
• Implement data validation, auditing, reconciliation, and error-handling capabilities.
• Support production deployments and post-implementation activities.
Database & Data Warehousing
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Partner with data architects and business analysts to define source-to-target mappings.
• Support data warehouse, reporting, and analytics solutions.
• Perform data analysis and troubleshooting activities.
Offshore Team Coordination
• Manage day-to-day activities of offshore development resources.
• Assign work, review deliverables, and monitor progress.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer and production support handoffs.
Agile Delivery
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning.
• Provide effort estimates and technical impact assessments.
• Manage work using JIRA and Agile processes.
• Support release planning and implementation activities.
• Coordinate testing and defect remediation activities.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 a year
