Your Role Designing and building data pipelines ETL workflows and data integration solutions within the Guidewire Insurance Suite They extract data from core systems Billing Center and transform it into centralized analytics ready formats
This role requires a blend of data warehousing expertise and PC Property Casualty insurance knowledge Key components of the role include
Core ResponsibilitiesData Integration ETL Design and maintain complex ETL pipelines extract transform load to map map and cleanse data from Guidewire core applications to DataHub and Info Center DHIC 1 2
Data Modeling Understand relational and dimensional data modeling concepts to ensure the data warehouse is optimized for analytical and operational reporting
Database SQL Management Write analyze and optimize complex SQL queries index management and database performance tuning 1 2
System Maintenance Handle initial database loads delta loads commit rollback utilities and resolve system integrity checks or balancing errors 1
Experience 3 to 5 years of experience in data warehousing and data engineering specifically within the PC insurance industry
Technical Stack Proficiency in ETL tools typically SAP Data Services BODS Informatica Snowflake SSIS
Database Systems Strong expertise in relational database management systems like Oracle Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL
Guidewire Knowledge Familiarity with the Guidewire Insurance Suite Policy Center Billing Center Claim Center data models and Guidewire integration frameworks
Data Governance Experience implementing metadata ingestion data lineage mapping and data quality metrics
Collaboration Work closely with business analysts data architects and stakeholders to translate analytical and reporting requirements into technical data solutions 1 2
Testing Documentation Execute unit tests support UAT User Acceptance Testing and maintain technical documentation like mapping sheets and data dictionaries'
