As a Datacenter Storage Field Applications Engineer, you will play a key role in strengthening technical partnerships with customers while driving product adoption and revenue. Youll act as a trusted advisor, helping customers design, validate, and optimize their systems using Microns storage solutions. This is a highly visible role where technical depth and customer engagement come together.
Responsibilities:- Partner with sales to develop account strategies and track progress against key objectives
- Engage customers regularly to identify new opportunities and support ongoing projects
- Lead issue resolution by coordinating between customers and internal engineering teams
- Provide system architecture guidance, technical training, and product recommendations
- Support design-in and validation through lab activities, testing, and system-level analysis
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of experience in storage (HDD/SSD) or related engineering roles
- Experience with datacenter systems, architecture, testing, and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with storage integration, interfaces (SATA, NVMe, CXL), and Linux environments
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage customer collaborators
- Experience applying artificial intelligence tools
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with benchmarking tools such as FIO, IOMeter, or similar
- Exposure to DRAM or other memory technologies
- Experience working with virtualization platforms (KVM, ESXi)
- Familiarity using AI for troubleshooting, automation, or efficiency improvements
- Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and drive innovation
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$131,000-$222,000
Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses, and equity.
