Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Datacenter Engineer to support a leading government and defense-focused organization in the Raleigh-Durham, NC (RTP) area. The Datacenter Engineer role requires full-time onsite work in RTP, NC. The Datacenter Engineer role is ideal for a cleared infrastructure professional with a strong background in both network and systems engineering, supporting mission-critical datacenter environments.
Responsibilities of the Datacenter Engineer include:
• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise datacenter infrastructure across networking and server environments.
• Troubleshoot complex performance, connectivity, and system availability issues within highly secure environments.
• Administer and optimize network technologies including routing, switching, firewalls, and associated infrastructure components.
• Support server, virtualization, storage, and operating system engineering initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and security of critical infrastructure systems.
Requirements of the Datacenter Engineer include:
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP).
• 5+ years of experience in datacenter, infrastructure, network, or systems engineering.
• Strong hands-on expertise with enterprise networking technologies including routing, switching, and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting Windows and/or Linux server environments, virtualization platforms, and datacenter operations.
• Ability to work onsite full-time in RTP, NC and support highly secure government programs.
Compensation for the Datacenter Engineer include:
• $170,000 - $200,000 annually
• Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law.
