SummaryThe Databricks Analytics Engineer designs, develops, and supports enterprise data pipelines, analytics datasets, and reporting solutions that enable business insights and operational decision-making. This role serves as a technical expert in Databricks, partnering with data, analytics, and reporting teams to deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions supporting healthcare operations and client programs.
Your role in our mission- Design, develop, and maintain Databricks data pipelines and curated datasets supporting reporting and analytics initiatives.
- Build and optimize analytics-ready datasets while ensuring data quality through validation, monitoring, and reconciliation processes.
- Partner with analytics and reporting teams to align data structures with business and reporting requirements.
- Support production operations and deployments across multiple environments, including troubleshooting data and performance issues.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation such as data mappings, transformation specifications, and operational procedures.
- Provide technical leadership and delivery support through solution recommendations, code reviews, testing, and release readiness activities.
What we're looking for- 5+ years of experience developing and supporting Databricks solutions utilizing Spark, SQL, and modern data engineering practices.
- Experience designing and maintaining data models, transformations, analytics datasets, and production reporting environments within cloud-based platforms.
- Experience supporting healthcare, pharmacy, payer, PBM, PBA, Medicaid, or state healthcare analytics programs.
- Strong knowledge of Databricks, Spark, SQL, ETL/ELT processes, and data quality practices.
- Understanding of Power BI reporting, semantic models, enterprise BI integrations, and governed analytics platforms.
- Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and automated deployment methodologies.
